Sarah McLachlan LIVE! @ the STATE THEATRE

Firstly, Sarah McLachlan is beautiful. Secondly, the State Theatre is beautiful too.

We got two tickets to go see Sarah @ the State Theatre from our BMG Rep (NADIA! WE LUFF YOU!) and because one of our work colleagues had actually spent $115 on a ticket (and I would have too.. if I had the MONEY! but then again, Mark also bought a ticket to go see Cirque Du Soleil), we split the cost of HIS ticket three ways and I honestly think this was is the best show I have ever seen and never mind that it cost us practically next to nothing to see her perform. LIVE. In the flesh. Merely metres away from the diva herself.

Sarah is absolutely beautiful on stage and she has this grace about her that just lit the stage up (well.. with the help of her glittery top as well). About half way through, she was singing the song Elsewhere, and I just started shaking and tears threatened to pour. It was just.. amazing and she was just amazing.

And she sang ICE CREAM! YAY! And for her second encore, she sang Angel, and through this performance, everyone just went silent. And then thanked us again (she did this every time she finished a song because the crowd hardly ever stopped cheering except when she was singing) and got a standing ovation. It was just incredible.
